I was born and raised in Strongsville, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 2010 and have loved every day since. I was a proud stay at home mom until I decided it was time to start a career for myself and became a real estate agent.
I love interacting with others, which provides the opportunity to guide new and experienced homebuyers or sellers through the buying process with confidence. I am open minded, detail-oriented and love a challenge! If you are looking for a well rounded, hard working agent, I would love to work with you.
I am originally from a suburb of Seattle, Washington up until 1992, when I moved to the valley to attend Arizona State University. While attending ASU, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. I then went on to obtain my Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University and Graduate Degree in School Psychology. I have over 20 years in public education; thirteen years as a special education teacher and eight years as a school psychologist. On account of my diverse background, I am attentive to the unique needs of my clients and realize that each and every client has an individual and specific need. As a result, I always put my clients as my top priority in the home buying or selling experience.
On a personal note, I am happily married to my husband Jason for 17 years and have three amazing children all under the age of 15. In my spare time, you will often find me cheering on my children at all of their various community based sporting events which include soccer, basketball, baseball, and volleyball.
Whether you are looking to buy, sell or invest in real estate, I am the perfect real estate professional who can help you accomplish your real estate dreams.
My family relocated to the Phoenix area from Southern California when I was 6 years old. Other than the years I spent in Flagstaff while I attended Northern Arizona University, I have been lucky to call the valley my home ever since.
I have always enjoyed working with people to help them reach their goals. The joy I feel when someone I have helped is successful is what has always driven me. Whether it was during my time in sales and property management or while running the school library; I know that I have to listen to people and learn about them so I can understand what they want and know what I need to do so that I can meet their needs.
I have spent the last 21 years of my life with my husband and we are the proud parents of two amazing and hardworking girls. In my free time, I enjoy coaching track and field and watching my daughters pursue their passions in volleyball and rock climbing.
Moving is said to be one of the biggest stresses a person can have during their lifetime. I look forward to the opportunity to help guide you through the process and relieve the burden of the stress.
Meet Mikel Plasencio: Your Metro Phoenix Realtor
I am an Arizona Native of 43 years! I specialize in the sale of new and existing homes in the entire Metro Phoenix area. I have worked for the Peoria Unified School District for the past 23 years and take great pride in giving each and every one of my clients 100 percent of my time and dedication during their home buying or selling experience. I look forward to working with you in the future! I am available to you 24/7!
Why I’m Different
Leveraging my experience as a 23 year employee of the Peoria School District, I am known for outstanding client service, 24/7 availability, high tech marketing techniques, personal touches, and as a skilled negotiator with my client’s best interest at heart. I believe strongly that it is not only my duty to represent my clients to the best of my ability, but also to educate them throughout every step of the process armed with top-notch information and market insight so that my clients make the best decisions possible. I am honest, sometimes telling clients things they might not want to hear, hardworking, and extremely knowledgeable about the real estate industry.
I Believe In Giving Back
I love giving back and one of my favorite ways is to host exchange students. It allows me to show them our way of life and share our beautiful state of Arizona with them. It also teaches our youth to open their minds to discovering other places outside of their usual surroundings. I also donate a portion of each commission to the charity or school of my client’s choosing.
In My Free Time
I enjoy hiking Arizona, cooking, hunting, fishing, and showing my exchange students around Arizona. I have one crazy and loveable pup. I am single with no children, which affords me the time to spend on my real estate career. I am an uncle to 7 nieces and nephews and 5 exchange students, who are my world.
I have lived in the valley for over forty years and am proud to call Phoenix my home. I attended Arizona State University and hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Education. I also obtained a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. Throughout my past twenty plus years as an educator, I have utilized excellent communication skills, valued the process of working with a team of professionals, and have always maintained a positive demeanor and a high level of character.
I bring the same client-first philosophy and character traits to my real estate endeavors. I support clients in all aspects to make the home buying experience a positive one. I am highly motivated, knowledgeable and detail oriented. Clients benefit from my honesty and loyalty, as integrity is of utmost importance to me.
In addition, I have developed strong professional relationships throughout the community. I coach youth sports and value giving back to others. Along with my wife and two children, I enjoy the Arizona outdoors and supporting local sports teams. Everyone in the community knows me as “CJ.”
I look forward to the opportunity of guiding you through the process of finding your dream home. Thank you in advance for your trust.
I have spent the last 26 warm and wonderful years in the Valley of the Sun. My family moved to Phoenix when I was 7 years old from a small town in eastern North Dakota. After graduating from Paradise Valley High School, I moved to Flagstaff and attended Northern Arizona University where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education. I have worked in special education serving the students, families, and community of North Phoenix for the past 10 years. I have built strong professional relationships in the area. About 3 years ago I married my supportive and incredible husband, Stephen. In my spare time, I often travel, spend time with my family, and serve in the community. I enjoy working closely with the clients and dedicated realtors from Your Dream Home AZ Group to ensure that your home buying or selling experience is personal, professional, and stress-free.
